Please update your DOT Mobilbilletter app to the latest version (2.2.3). Then you will get the correct information that the app retires on the 19th November.

Why do you retire the old DOT Mobilbilletter app?

DOT Tickets app was released in the end of June  - an app which offers all types of DOT tickets on Zealand and the islands. It replaced the old DOT Mobilpendlerkort app.

Since the new app offers the same tickets as DOT Mobilbilletter app, it is now time to replace the old DOT Mobilbilletter app with DOT Tickets app.

Why does DOT Billetter app not support operating systems older than Android 5 / iOS 11.4?

For security reasons, we have decided to support the operating systems that Google and Apple maintain.

Therefore, DOT Tickets app supports operating system Android 5 and iOS 11.4 – and newer versions.

If your iPhone has an operating system version between 11 and 11.4, please update your iPhone to the newest operative system available.

Google and Apple develop operating systems for smartphones and decide which phones can be updated, and they decide when they can no longer support older operating systems for security reasons. We have no say on those decisions.

My phone’s operating system is not supported by DOT Tickets app. How do I now buy tickets?

DOT Tickets app does not support older operating systems than Android 5 and iOS 11.4.

If your phone can not be updated to these versions, and you are a commuter card user, we recommend you buy your commuter card by Rejsekort pendlerkort or Rejsekort pendler kombi.

If your phone can not be updated to these versions, and you are a single ticket user, we recommend you buy tickets by Rejsekort, in the automat, from the bus driver or by SMS.

Do I have to register my email address and name in DOT Tickets app?

No, in DOT Tickets app you simply register your phone number. Then you are ready to purchase single tickets – like in the old DOT Mobilbilletter app.

However, we recommend to store your email address in the Profile settings in the app (top left corner).

With a combination of your phone number and your email address, you will be able to restore your tickets and user profile, if you change your phone, phone number or reinstall DOT Tickets app.

I have a new phone / reinstalled the app – how do I restore my tickets and my user profile?

If you get a new phone, restore your phone’s factory settings or reinstall the app, you will not be able to restore your tickets and user profile only by entering your phone number in DOT Tickets app - for security reasons.

To restore your user profile, you need a combination of your phone number and your email address. Therefore, we recommend that you store your email address in the Profile settings > Your information before the change.

How to restore your user profile:

  1. Enter your phone number in DOT Tickets app and enter the SMS activation code
  2. Follow the instructions in the app to enter your email address
  3. Once this is done, you will receive an email with a link
  4. Open the email via your phone and press the link
  5. You will be lead back to DOT Tickets app from the web page
  6. Enter your payment card details in the Profile settings > Payment cards or during a purchase flow. For security reasons, your payment card is not automatically restored.

If you didn’t store your email address in the Profile settings prior to the changes, and you wish to restore your tickets in the app, you have to ask DOT Customer Service for help: Call 70 15 70 00 (enter 1, 2 or 3 – all traffic companies can help with the app).

Do I have to give permission to GPS location in DOT Tickets app?

No. Contrary to the old DOT Mobilbilletter app, you can purchase all types of tickets without giving the app location permission.

However, you will not be able to use the fast purchase buttons to zone and bicycle tickets, because, by default, they are issued from “My location”. Without location permission, the app will not know where you are.

Fast purchase buttons

If you have given the app location permission, but the GPS connection is poor, you will not be prevented from purchasing a ticket – as you were in the DOT Mobilbilletter app. You can still purchase a ticket by making a from-to search.

Where can I find a fast purchase button for a 4 zones ticket (example)?

If you are a DOT Mobilbilletter app user, you are used to fast purchase buttons for 2-8 zone tickets. In DOT Tickets app there is only space for two fast purchase buttons for zone tickets (2 and 3 zones by default) plus one button for a bicycle ticket and one for an Extension ticket (1 zone).

If you wish to purchase another number of zones, press the Buy ticket button and make a from-to search.

After 10 purchases, the app will remember your preferred number of zones. If, for instance, you purchased most 4 and 5 zones tickets, the fast purchase buttons will change to 4 and 5 zones.

However, you must close and open the app for the change to take effect.

Can I create multiple user profiles with the same email address?

No. In the DOT Tickets app an email address can only be used for one profile.

This means that you can not use the same email address for both your childrens’ and your profile.

Where can I find receipts for my purchases in DOT Tickets app?

You will receive email receipts for commuter card purchases.

In the future (first quarter of 2020), you will receive email receipts for all types of purchases.

This option can be deselected in the app in the Profile / Permissions section.

All purchases are also listed in the app in the Profile / Purchase history section.

Where will I find receipts for my purchases in the old DOT Mobilbilletter app, when it has retired?

After DOT Mobilbilletter app has retired, you can still access the receipts for your purchases on the web page: https://dinoffentligetransport.dk/kvittering
