Youth Card (Ungdomskort)
Travel freely by bus, train and metro to and from your residence and the educational institution.
- You must be 16-19 years old or enrolled on a youth education programme or higher education programme.
- Valid for 30-120 days
- Provides a discount on public transportation throughout Denmark.
Worth knowing
When you order your Youth Card (Ungdomskort), you can choose to receive it as a plastic card or in an app. If you choose to receive it in an app, it will be delivered in either the DOT Tickets app or the DSB app, depending on the Youth Card validity area. If you do not meet the requirements for an Ungdomskort, a commuter pass or Rejsekort (travel card) may be an option for you, depending on how much you travel.
Youth Card (Ungdomskort)

With a Youth Card you get:
- Unlimited commuting between home and school/education institution
- Free travel on public transport within either zones 1-99, 100-199, or 200-299, depending on where you live – 7 days a week.
- Travel at child fare (single ticket and Rejsekort) outside your own zone area on Zealand, Lolland, Falster and Møn by bus, train and Metro.
- Purchase youth tickets for train travel on a national level and between the individual tariff areas outside Zealand, Lolland, Falster and Møn.
- Travel at child fare (single ticket and Rejsekort) within the tariff areas in the rest of Denmark.
Price and validity
A Youth Card has a fixed daily price. The price is regulated annually and is different for young people in upper secondary education or higher education programmes or outside the education system. The price for a Youth Card is always calculated on the basis of the current daily price as stipulated in the legislation.
All days are payable for which the card is valid (including weekends, public holidays, etc.).
The Youth Card must be presented for ticket inspection.
The Youth Card is personal and sold as a Commuter Pass valid for durations of 30 to 120 days.
The validity period starts at 00:00 on the first day of validity of the pass. The period ends at 04:00 after the last day of validity.

If you are a student, please be aware that your educational institution must confirm that you are going to school before the final order is transferred to your transport company. The right to a Youth Card does not apply until this confirmation has taken place. You will then be sent the pass.
Refunds, changes and replacement cards
Changes to and ordering of replacement cards is done via www.mitungdomskort.dk (Available in Danish)
If you interrupt your educational programme, you must deregister the card via www.mitungdomskort.dk. (Available in Danish)
If you do not need your Youth Card, it can be refunded according to the following rules: the card must have been used for a minimum of 30 days, and there must be a minimum of 30 days remaining to be reimbursed. There is no fee associated with the refund.
