You find the Supplementary ticket at the bottom of the ticket drawer.
A single ticket is valid in the metro zones and gives you access to travel by metro.
You find the Supplementary ticket at the bottom of the ticket drawer.
Download DOT Tickets app from App Store or Google Play.
- Open the DOT Tickets app
- Enter your phone number and press Continue
- Enter the SMS code and press Continue
- Now you are ready to buy single tickets
- If you want to buy a commuter card, continue entering your personal information under Profile in the upper left corner
- The first time you buy a ticket, you have the option to save your payment card. You can also choose to pay with MobilePay or to pay with a payment card without saving it
If you get a new phone, restore your phone’s factory settings or reinstall the app, you will not be able to restore your tickets and user profile only by entering your phone number in DOT Tickets app - for security reasons.
To restore your user profile, you need a combination of your phone number and your email address. Therefore, we recommend that you store your email address in the Profile settings > Your information before the change.
How to restore your user profile:
- Enter your phone number in DOT Tickets app and enter the SMS activation code.
- If you have previously saved your email address on your profile, the app will ask if you want to restore your user profile, and you must answer yes.
- Once you have entered your email address, you will receive an email with a link.
- Open the email on your phone and tap the link.
- You will now be sent back to the app, which has now retrieved your tickets and your purchase history.
- Then enter your payment card information under Profile or in connection with a purchase. For security reasons, your payment card information has been deleted.
- Your permissions for localization and push notifications will also be reset. You restore them under Profile.
If you didn’t store your email address in the Profile settings prior to the changes, and you wish to restore your tickets in the app, you have to ask DOT Customer Service for help: Call 70 15 70 00 (enter 1, 2 or 3 – all traffic companies can help with the app).
If you change your phone number, you can restore your tickets and your user profile in DOT Tickets app, if you store your email address under Profile > Your information prior to the change.

If you didn’t store your email address in the Profile settings prior to the changes, and you wish to restore your tickets in the app, you have to ask DOT Customer Service for help: Call 70 15 70 00 (enter 1, 2 or 3 – all traffic companies can help with the app).
Your tickets and purchase history are not automatically restored when you reinstall the DOT Tickets app, or when you change your phone number.
If you save your email address in the app Profile settings prior to the changes, you can retreive them by following this guide:
- Enter your phone number in DOT Tickets app and enter the SMS activation code
- Follow the instructions in the app to enter your email address
- Once this is done, you will receive an email with a link
- Open the email via your phone and press the link
- You will be lead back to DOT Tickets app from the web page
- Profile and tickets are restored
Please notice: For security reasons, your payment cards are not automatically restored. You will have to add cards again.
When you buy a commuter card, you need to provide your email address, your name and your date of birth. Name and date of birth are required for the ticket inspectors to validate your ticket. The email address is required for you to receive receipts and for you to recover your tickets if you log out of the app or reinstall it.
If you only buy single tickets, it is sufficient to register with your phone number. However, we recommend that you save your e-mail address under Profile in the app (upper left corner). With the combination of your phone number and your email address, you can restore your tickets and your profile yourself if you change phone or reinstall the app.
It is optional whether you want to give the DOT Tickets app location permission.
However, you will need to give location permission if you want to use the fast-purchase buttons for zone tickets. To issue a ticket for 2-8 zones, we need to know your starting zone. We can only do this if you give your location permission.
If you do not want to give your location permission, you can order a ticket by selecting the "Buy ticket" button and perform a from-to search.
There are only fast-purchase buttons for two types of zone tickets due to limited space. When you download the app for the first time, 2 and 3 zones are displayed by default because these are the tickets which sell the most.
However, the fast-purchase buttons will change to the number of zones you usually buy after the first 10 tickets. If you want to buy a zone number other than those on the fast-purchase buttons, you must search for the ticket by pressing the "Buy ticket" button and perform a from-to search.
Remember to close and open the app so that the fast-purchase buttons change to your preferred zone number.
No. In the DOT Tickets app an email address can only be used for one profile.
This means that you can not use the same email address for both your children's and your profile.
You will receive both receipts in the DOT Tickets app and email receipts if you have registered with your email address in the app.
Email receipts can be turned off and on in the app under Profile / Permissions.
Receipts in the app can be found under Profile / Purchase history.
The DOT Tickets app supports operating system version iOS 12 or Android 6 and newer versions.
If your phone cannot be updated to these versions, you will not be able to install the DOT Tickets app on your phone.
If your phone can not be updated to these versions, and you are a commuter card user, we recommend you use Rejsekort pendlerkort or Rejsekort pendler kombi.
If your phone can not be updated to these versions, and you are a single ticket user, we recommend you use Rejsekort, ticket kiosks or by SMS.
For security reasons, we have decided to support the operating systems that Google and Apple maintain.
Therefore, DOT Tickets app supports operating system Android 7 and iOS 13 – and newer versions.
If your iPhone has an older operating system, please update your iPhone to the newest operative system available.
Google and Apple develop operating systems for smartphones and decide which phones can be updated, and they decide when they can no longer support older operating systems for security reasons. We have no say on those decisions.
DOT's old app, DOT Mobbilletter app, closed down on November 19, 2019. We recommend that you update to DOT's new app, DOT Tickets app.
You can change the language under Profile & reciepts > Language.
The app is available in Danish and English.
